Another Potpuri of Events!!!

The last couple of weeks have been pretty uneventful, which has actually been a good thing. We've even had some time to work on our yard a bit and to enjoy a few of our nieces and nephews baseball games over at West Jordan Park. Gotta love it!!!
Last Wednesday we had the opportunity to go and see the play "Wicked." Brenda bought us the tickets for Christmas and man was it worth the anticipation, Ry and I really enjoyed it. We went with Travis, Brandee, Deb and Jo, such a fun and crazy little group. We ate at PF Changs before the show and the food was just scrumptious!!!
This past weekend, Ryan and I had the Lim kids over night.
We just hung out at home most of the time, playin hide and seek and the PlayStation.
( This dang weather is going to be the death of me!)
My friend Shauna and I decided that we would bleach our own hair over the weekend as well.....What an experience!!! What you go through to save a little money during these rough economical times!!! After we had applied the bleach and were all ready to wash it out and see the final product we noticed that we both had orange hair, I'm not even kidding!!! So it was back down to the beauty supply store to buy a bunch of toner to get our hair back to a somewhat normal color...In the end, it actually didn't look that bad, we may even attempt to try it again down the road.
Brenton, Me and Alivia, the day after our sleepover.
(Oh and Kinsley snuck into the picture at the last second!)

How cute are they???

Liv, Me and Gracee.... (My hair doesn't look that bad, does it???)

After the toner!!!

Before the toner, We look like orange headed skunks!!!

I’m not even going to start this post out by giving excuses as to why I haven’t updated my blog for so long, I've been busy right….Blah Blah Blah!!!
I’m really sucking lately at taking pictures, Honestly, it’s just laziness…..
The later part of March was pretty chaotic for the Lim Family, so here we go: Ryan headed to Idaho with a few of his family members to catch the first round of March Madness (They had really good seats too.) Ry did take a few pictures and I will post those within the next few days. While he was away I spent my time spring cleaning and hanging out with my good buddy Shauna.
The following weekend was our monthly “Girls Night Out” with the Lim ladies, We ate dinner at Famous Dave’s and then saw the movie “Duplicity” with Julia Roberts, it was an ok movie, the food was great though, as was the company. That Saturday night was our first official bon fire of the summer at the Neil Miller house, the marshmallows were yummy!!! They have a pretty cool set-up for summer gatherings in their backyard, it’s sooo relaxing!!!
This past weekend was actually pretty chill, Ry and I got some Chinese take-out and watched “Slum dog Millionaire” it was nice to just stay at home and relax. Saturday was Mom’s birthday lunch at Italian Village with all of her sisters and their daughters, who bring their daughters, we’ve made it into a “Girl” thing, it was fun to see everyone. That night was Bunco clear up in Clearfield, the drive sucked, but we had a great time and I finally won some money!!! On Sunday Ry and I took my Mom out to TGI Fridays for her birthday, good times!!!
That pretty much brings you all up to date (sorry no pictures of any of those events, I’m horrible.) We’re looking forward to this weekend, it’s Easter!!! I promise I will take a few snap shots of us huntin some Easter Eggs, until then, TA TA!!!

March Madness!!!

And no, I don’t mean the basketball version of ‘ March Madness” (although, I absolutely love watching that.) I’m talking about how dang crazy, busy this month has been!!!
I won’t write a novel and bore you all to death , I’m just going to basically tell you “The Short Version” as to what’s been going on.
Below are some older pictures of Ry and I on our trip to Florida. We had a ball!!! we stayed in Orlando one night and were able to go to Busch Gardens in Tampa, which we absolutely loved (it’s like an amusement park and a zoo in one!)
The rest of the time we stayed right in Miami at the Marriott on Duval. We spent most of our time on South Beach and made a day trip to Key West. I have to say that Ry and I agree that the highlight of the trip was Key West….We rented scooters for the day and made our way around the most of the island. We loved Jimmy Buffets “Margaritaville” Our cheeseburgers in paradise were to die for. We also liked the Earnest Hemingway house, with all of the cats wondering the grounds. We still can’t get over the fact that we were only 90 miles away from Cuba at the Southern most tip of Key West. GOOD TIMES!!!
Oh, I turned 31 on March 2, no big deal though…Birthday’s pretty much suck now.
My friend Ter had her baby shower on the 7th, it was at my house and we had a ton of fun! On the menu: Chili, Cream of potato and southwestern chicken soup. (Thanks Heath and Al for your contributions) oh and we had some yummy rolls and some darling cupcakes from Costco (Ya'll know I didn't make them by hand right?)
However the biggest event going on so far this month is that my Parents, Neil, Heath, J and Heath are all in Mexico right now and I have the extreme privilege to be watching my nephews, Joe and Cole all week while they are gone. It’s not that the boys are hard to watch, if fact they are pretty easy, it’s just crazy getting them to school, scouts, baseball practices, etc…They are keeping us very busy, to say the least. We’re having a ball though. Tonight we are going with my friend Shauna and all of her kids to “Jungle Jim's” for dinner, I know the boys are totally stoked. Time sure is flying by, I only have them for two more days!
And there you have it….Sorry, that ended up pretty much being a novel!!!

Something a little different.

Found this on a friends blog...had to pass it on! It could be fun!!Lucky you! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!2- What I create will be just for you.3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be poetry or an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

I responded to my friend Jill's blog and this was the yummy treat that she brought over to me.

Thanks Jill!!!

Valentines Day

It feels like forever since I have posted an update, sorry about that. We have been very busy lately...That's always my excuse, huh??? Anyways, We had a fabulous Valentines Day. Being that Valentines was on a Saturday this year, it was cool to sleep in. I went to a baby blessing that afternoon for my cousins cute little baby, then Ry took my Mom and I out to lunch to El Farol, my papa had to work that day, what a bummer. Ry and I then just came home and relaxed for awhile before we picked up Neil and Heath for our romantic dinner at Five Alls. We all dressed up and ended up having a great evening.
Other updates: We had another "Girls night out" a few weeks ago. We went to Applebees and went and saw "He's just not that into you," I had my February Bunco night (which I won lowest score again, even though you get a prize, I hate that I'm not getting better at it.) Shauna and I went and saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic" which I absolutely loved, and that basically catches Ya'll up to speed. As sad as it seems, I didn't take pictures of any of these events, I promise I will do better next time.

Superbowl Weekend

So we had another jam-packed, fun-filled weekend. On Friday Shauna and I went and saw a movie “New in Town” (it was alright) and then we ate dinner at good ole IHOP. Saturday: Ry and I went and watched our nephews play basketball (Brenton and Cole) it’s cool because they are both on the same team. Afterwards Neil, Sky, Gracee, Ry and myself grabbed a bite to eat at Famous Dave’s. Later that day, Ry and I took Gracee to see "Hotel for Dogs” (which was very cute) we ended the night at Jason and Heath’s house playing games and eating tacos until 1:00 in the morning. Gracee and Skyler ended up sleeping over that night as well. Sunday was the big game (obviously, right) We had a Superbowl Party at the Bonacci’s. We always look forward to having parties at the Bonacci’s house because they are excellent hosts!!! On the menu for the day was: Chili, Lentil soup, hot wings, fried shrimp, guacamole dip, and brownies, the food was just amazing, I ate for 5 hours straight!!! What a fabulous day. Thanks Mona and Noche.

A shot of the group watchin the game.
