Hair Date!

Last Tuesday Skyler, Lil Heather and myself went to the Salt Lake Community College to get some deep condition treatments and a style....Pretty simple right??? I think that I could even have handled those two tasks... Well, little Heath and I got a little brave: She got her bangs trimmed (which actually turned out ok) and I wanted just an inch off the length of my hair ( 2 hours after the chic started my "TRIM" I had a full out bob!!! An inch turned out to be 5 inches, it just kept getting shorter with each section that she did!!! Oh well, I was due for a bit of a change anyways!!!
Skyler's style ended up being very cute (she must of had a senior student!) She finished a good hour before Heath and I did, she had a great time wondering around making fun of us and taking some good pictures.
Here is the lesson we learned: Cheap isn't always the best route to take, unless you have several hours to spare and you like surprises----You never know what kind of hairdo you will end up with!!! Oh well, We had fun Anyways!!!

Sky gettin her hair curled.

A little trim for Heath.

My lady rinsing my third shampoo of the night, why???
I guess you need a fresh shampoo after a deep condition, a trim and right before a style!!!
I look concerned!!! But then again, I was.

The final product: Wow!!!
Heather looks like she is 12 with her little curls and I look like a lion with a big frizzy mane!!!
Skyler looks adorable.

I'm Alive!

SO I thought I should Just post a quick update to notify all of you that I am still alive, Actually, I feel more alive than I've felt in a long time!!!
I don't have any cool pictures or great stories of exciting adventures, yet somehow I feel like I have been on the adventure of a lifetime these past few months.
Ryan and I have been laying pretty low these days, enjoying the simple things this life has to offer I guess, it's been nice.
I guess the biggest thing that is going on is that I turned 32 on the 2nd of March, yes I'm getting old!!! I had a pretty low key day, I worked, then I ate a scrumptious meal at El Farol with Ryan and my Mom. Later that evening Ry and I caught the late showing of "Valentines Day" We both loved it!!! It was a nice mellow day spent with those that mean the most to me.
Yesterday, Ryan, Neil and myself went up to the Huntsman Center and watched the BYU VS UTAH Basketball game, BYU rolled over the Utes, they won by like 30 Pts. We had a fun time.
Hopefully I'll be able to post a few pictures in the near future of us doing something totally fun, stay tuned!!!

P.S. Thanks to all those who sent me Birthday wishes, it means a lot that You all remember me on my big day!!!

--------------------------------------------------------
This post is long overdue, sorry for all of those that have been waiting for the Cali update. I hope you have about an hour to get through all of the pictures and my short novel below!!!
Last month Ry and I went with the Lim clan to DISNEYLAND!!! We also hit Sea world and Universal, fun stuff!!! We arrived on Sunday, checked into the "Marriott-Newport Beach", and then we unpacked and ate Pizza Hut (Nice and Relaxing.) Monday was our Sea world day, We had a lot of fun, Ry even talked Brenton, Bradyn and myself into feeding the sting ray's, it was really scary, you actually have to stick your hand down into the water and then the sting ray slides by and sucks the squid (gross) out of your hand!!!
Tuesday Ry and I took off on our own to Santa Monica Pier, we ate some Mexican food on the pier and relaxed on the beach. That evening we hooked up with Yuen, Trav, Bradyn and Brenton to catch an Angels game. They played the Yankees and ended up loosing by 1 run!!! It was pretty cool to see Jeter, A-Rod and Posada (just to name a few.) We were hoping to catch a Dodgers game while we were in town as well, but they were playing on the road that week we were there, what a bummer!!!
Wednesday was Newport Beach-This was a way fun day!!! We ate some way yummy food at Charly's (a little restaurant on the pier,) rented some body boards and got our body surfing groove on!!! I love the beach, oh how I wish we lived way closer to the ocean!!!
Thursday was Disneyland!!! Gracee was absolutely in heaven, it was her birthday and she was treated like a queen all day. We started the day off by hitting the"Bippity Boppity Boutique" with all of the girls (Brenda, Brandee, Gracee, Alivia and myself.) Gracee and Alivia were given the royal treatment. They both got their hair done, nails painted, and picked out princess outfits to wear for the day, Gracee was Snow White and Alivia was Cinderella. After the little girls got all dolled up, we headed over to "Ariel's Grotto" were we had a fabulous lunch and mingled with Belle, Cinderella and Mulan. After we had lunch, we met back up with the boys to enjoy the rest of our day at Disneyland and Adventure land, this truly was a day to remember!!!
Friday was Universal Studios for Ry, Yuen, Bradyn, Brenton and myself. It was 93 degrees this day and man did we fry!!! We had tons of fun riding the Mummy and going on the old Universal Studios Tour, I just love learning all the cool things they do to make movies so awesome!!! Later that night we bounced back to Disneyland to catch the firework show and to get in as many rides as we could before they closed!!!
Saturday was the day we left to come back home. We left in the evening, so we were able to layout by the pool for a good part of the day. We all had such a great time with each other, it's amazing how quickly a week flys by when you're on vacation, especially when it's jammed packed with amusement parks. Thanks Yuen and Brenda for such an awesome vacation to CALI!!! We'll never forget how much fun we had!!!
The very next weekend after coming home from California Ry and I went down to St. George with Yuen, Brenda and Debbie to watch Yuen run in the annual St. George Marathon, Yuen did a great job as always, he amazes me!!!
And there you have it.....What a dang long post. Hope you enjoy the millions of photos!!!

Take Two:
Oh man, Let's try this again....I have literally spent two days getting an update posted and about two hours ago I downloaded all of the pictures and was trying to modify a few things when bam!!! I accidentally erased the whole flippin post, so here we go again!!! This version might be a little shorter cuz I am having a really hard time remembering all that I wrote about the first time.
So here's a little update to catch you all up on the last month or so.
We celebrated the the 4th of July by taking part in all of our favorite activities: We went to the Wj parade, had a fabulous BBQ with the Miller clan, hit the "gangster" Wj carnival, went to the Western Stampede Rodeo with the Lim's and took in the firework show at my parents that evening. Gotta love the 4th of July!!!
A couple of weeks ago we headed to Roosevelt for the annual "Nickell Reunion." I do have to say that I had a great time, (we all know how much I dislike camping.) It was a lot of fun and very relaxing.
However, most of our summer has consisted of nights at the ball park watching all of our nieces and nephews playing baseball/softball, which we absolutely love!!! Skyler and Brenton's season ran a little big longer because they both made their All-Star teams, such cute little sluggers!!! Last week we tagged along with Sky and her team to the Bee's game, all of the girls got to go out on the field and sing the national anthem with the Bee's player that played their same position, (Sky was pretty stoked, being the pitcher and all!)
We've made a few jaunts to Wendover, hit the drive-in with the Lim kids, I had a few "Girls Night Out" activities with the Lim ladies and we've enjoyed many BBQ's with family and friends.
There you have it, all caught up, very exciting right???
I'm getting a little depressed realizing that this summer is coming to an end, and knowing that I have another cold and boring Utah winter to look forward to. Here's to another couple weeks of warm summer nights!!!

This is becoming a major problem.

So I really hate it when people blog without pictures, weird I know, but it's true!!! Now, the reason I bring this up....I have lost my camera. I have been searching high and low for the last three weeks and have almost come to terms with the fact that I may never find it. So, I'm just going to give a quick update with what has been going on in our lives for the last month (without pictures!)
* Alivia Was blessed and Bradyn was ordained to a deacon (Ryan had the extreme honor to give both of the blessings) it truly was a great experience to be apart of. Yuen did get a few shots with his camera, so I will be posting a few of those.
*We've had a few BBQ's with friends, One of which I took a bunch of pictures of (so sad, I'll never see those pictures again!)
*We had a weekend camping trip with Neil and his family and Jason and his family to Aspen. We actually did have a pretty good time, I say that because I absolutely hate camping and I somehow made it through the weekend!
*We've been watching about a million baseball/softball games and the big news is that Skyler made the All-Star team, she is one heck of a little pitcher!
* Ryan had his 34th Birthday. All he wanted to do was go out to dinner, so, Brenda, Yuen, Ry and I went and ate at Pagoda's, Ry's most favorite place to eat in this world.
* Ryan found out the he had skin cancer on his lip. We thought that it was just a cold sore but it just wouldn't get better. So he had it removed and all is well again. He was also in a car accident while on duty a couple of weeks ago, A little old man rear-ended him while he was stopped at a red light. His back has been hurting him quiet a bit but he should be back to normal in no time ( as normal as he gets that is!)
* And the biggest news is that I got a new car, I traded my Nissan Sentra in for a Nissan Xterra. I'm madly and deeply in love with it. For starters, it's an SUV, which I've never had, I love sitting that far off the ground when I'm driving, I feel like I'm on top of the world!
And there you have it, you're all caught up with what has been going on in our lives. Hopefully I'll find my camera one day or I'll finally talk Ryan into getting a new one....We'll see how that goes!!!

Introducing Chace Dean Gibson!!!

He's here!!! Ter and Mark finally had their little bundle of joy on Sunday evening (04/26/09) at 9:30 pm. He weighed in at 8 lbs and was 21 inches long. He is so freakin cute, I absolutely love his dark curly hair!!! When I made the jaunt up to see the Gibson Family, my timing couldn't have been better, I was able to watch Mark give Chace his first bath
through the nursery windows....How cool is that???
Congrats Ter and Mark and I cant wait to see the little guy again!!!

What a handsome little man!!!
