A little of this and a little of that!

We had a pretty fun-filled weekend, the kind I just love, the weather even cooperated! Friday night was spent at Jen's house, where she hosted a lovely Birthday Party for Brenda. The food was to die for (sorry no pictures.) Saturday, we were up bright and early to take part in Skyler's softball teams 1 mile fun run/5k. I of course did the 1 miler, these toes just aren't what they used to be! it was a fun time had by all, I was truly impressed how high tech it was. There where snacks a plenty at the end of the race (healthy ones of course) and we had a big raffle. Everyone won something except Bradyn and I, bummer! Lex even won the biggest prize they gave away at the end of the day, a $200 gift card to Salt Lake Running Co., pretty cool. Cole would want me to say that he won first place in his age division and Jason won 3rd place in his age division! What a way to spend a beautiful spring morning! Afterwards, Neil, Big Heath, Ry and I headed out to Wendover, and as always it was fun but there wasn't one person in our group that brought home a little extra dough!

* Enjoy the million pictures I took, yikes!

Pre-Race, we are all looking pumped!

Looking good Lex!

Bradyn's hangin in there!

Big "J" struttin his stuff!

Cole getting his 1st place medal.

Here I am, it's all about fashion for me!

The two top runners: The father and son combo!

A picture of Lex, Heath and I, Just cuz we are picture worthy!

Heath and the boys at the end of the race.

Much of the same: Minus Cole, insert Bradyn.

And here we all are before heading out for the day. If you look closely, you can see a few of us flaunting our winnings from the raffle!

Ry and I in Wendover.

Neil and Heath doing the same pose.

And here is cute little Brynnlie, she was blessed this past Sunday and I just had to sneak a picture of her in this post. What a cutie!

Presidents Day Weekend!

I love holiday weekends! 3 days off from work! YES PLEASE! The weekend started off great, Ryan was off on Friday, so we spent the evening over at the "Neil Miller clan" household, never a dull moment, let me tell you. Skyler spent the night with me in the bathroom trying to fix my blue hair, we toned it and now it is silver----silver is better than blue right? I now look 50 but I do not look like a smurf anymore! Skyler found out earlier that day that she had broken some small bone in her foot (She was messing around with friends at her birthday slumber party and from what I understand they were all trying to hop up and down the stairs on one foot to see who had the best balancing techniques, Skyler lost!) Anyways, the next afternoon while I was getting ready to meet up with some girlfriends for a dinner/movie date, I stubbed 3 of my toes on our foot board on our bed, I was catching myself from falling so it was a really bad stubberoo, so bad that I think I may have broken 2 out of the 3 toes that are absolutely nagging with pain at this very moment. My foot is extremely swollen, along with the 3 toes that look like little sausages and there is bruising from the toes up to my ankle, not good. My fear is that I may have broken something else in my foot as well. I'll keep ya updated on that. So if you are keeping count, that means that my Mom, Skyler and I are all hobbling around, fun times! I still went to the movie and dinner though, I just will not pass up an opportunity to hang out with my hommies! On Sunday, Ryan had to work, so I rested all day in bed, which worked out well considering that on Monday I ended up going bowling (I was only a spectator) with the Lim kids, and then to a Jazz game that evening with Ry and 2 of his good friends and fellow officers, Dave and Matt. Thanks for thinking of us Matt! We were 4th row, center court. I'm getting too spoiled lately, as far as the seating situation goes, it's going to be hard to go to a Jazz game and actually have to sit 30 rows back now! It worked out well though, being that I was a gimp, I didn't have to climb a million stairs throughout the night. What a wild weekend!

Probably one of the worst pictures Ryan and I have ever taken, beggers can't be choosers when you ask someone else to take a quick picture during half time. We were able to go down below where the players come in and out at half-time so the lighting was really bad. Oh well, I still wanted to document the night, so this picture will have to do!

Duncan (one of my favorite NBA players) and Big Al. These boys are so freakishly tall, it scares me a little! The Jazz ended up loosing. BOO!!!

Livi, Benton and Brynn.

Gracee girl and Brynn.

Me and Brynn, she is getting sooo big! I love that she has realized that she has her little hands to suck on now, it is so cute, if you just look at her and start talking to her, she gives you a big grin too, love it!

Noche and Anthony ended up bowling with us too, what a sweet surprise!

A random shot of the group bowling. Fun times!

We dooo have fun at work!

So for Valentines Day, we had a big shindig at work. I'm talking laugh your guts out fun! We started the afternoon off by indulging ourselves in my most favorite pizza ever, Papa Johns. Then it was time to get serious, we split off into teams and were told that we had 30 minutes to create a "Cake Masterpiece" It was like TLC's Cake Wars. R7 provided the cakes (from Granite bakery, yum!) and all of the trimmings: frosting, food coloring, fresh strawberries, bananas, sprinkles, piping tools, etc. You get the picture right!
I had a team of all boys, and lets just say, ours was not very creative, we made a Pac-Man looking figure. It was not cute and we lost! So sad! But we had so much fun taking part in this ridiculously fun activity, Here are some shots of us in action!

I'm looking pretty serious right?

The team hard at work.

I look like I'm a little in over my head. This cake decorating stuff is hard work!

The finished product......oh soooo sad! But like I said, I had a blast and I just loved, loved, loved my team, we had a lot of laughs!

A quick Lunch/Birthday

Well here we are, a couple of my favorite ladies on this planet! The stars kind of aligned, and we we were able to do a quicky, ( lunch that is!) it was great to see you ladies . Let's do it again soon!

Ter (very prego) Al, Me and Heath.

And here's a shot of the birthday girls, Ali and Sky. 17 And 13, and that 's all I have to say about that! Well, I guess I may have a couple of more things to say about these cute girls' twiner Birthdays, Poor Sky was way sick that day, but she was a trooper. Also in the pic, was Ali's boyfriend, Matt ( we really liked him, he is cute kid and he treats Ali really great!) Heath jumped in at the last minute as we took the picture, she's a cutie as well! We ended up having their Birthday Dinner at Morelia, it was a perfect night! Happy Birthday you adorable girlies! I love ya more than words can even express!

Jazz or Jimmer?

You had to see it to believe it! There were some pretty confused fans and players at the Jazz game this past Saturday night. We played the Sacramento Kings and we all know what that means (we played Jimmer Fredette!) I wore my Jazz colors and cheered for the Jazz but I was screaming like a little girl whenever Jimmer touched the ball and when he made shots, I would nearly jump out of my seat! The funny thing is, is that 70% of the fans there were doing the same thing. In the end , The Jazz ended up winning by 3 points and Jimmer ended up making 3, great 3 point shots, so it was a win win for me. Now I'm going to give a shout-out to a great buddy of ours, we love you Lex Bell! He had some pretty awesome tickets that he so generously shared with Ryan, Neil and I (we are talking 10th row, center court, right behind the players bench, awesome!) The four of us had a great time, we were even able to attend a VIP dinner before the game, we felt pretty high class, Lex sure has some connections!

JIMMER!

Neil, Me, Ry and Lex. Fun times!

Happy New Year!

New Years Eve was pretty laid back for me this year (I loved it!) Ryan of course had to work, but was able to make it to the party by 11:45. It was nice that we were able to ring in the New Year together! J and Heath hosted the party at their house this year, In attendance: J, Heath, Joe, Cole, Skyler, Bennett, Katie, Knox, Beau, and Myself, it was a fun crew. We had pulled pork sandwiches, chips, dips, and sweets galore! It's normally quite the task to keep the kids entertained until midnight, but J had a lot of fun games planned and the night actually flew by. We played a bunch of "Minute to Win it" games (which had us laughing so hard!) and good ole Pictionary. All in all, I would say that the party was a success! Here's to 2012!

Ry and I a little after midnight, You better believe I got my New Years Eve Kiss!

Heath attempting to do the splits and trying to grab the sack with her teeth. She totally face planted, it was great!

Bennett doing the cookie game. You had to move the cookie from your forehead to your mouth using only your face muscles, no hands!

Here's Cole playing the Yo-Yo between your legs game. You had to swing the yo-yo between your legs and knock down plastic cups. Classic!

Here I am trying to grab the sack with my teeth, I look like an Indian. My strategy sucked!

Jason playing the cotton ball game. You put Vaseline on your nose and attempt to get the cotton balls from one plate to the other, one at a time, again, no hands!

Me, Sky and Heath, how cute!

Heath and I.

Family

The one and only good thing about funerals, that I can think of, is that you get to see and visit with family members. You don't realize how much you actually miss someone until you get to see them again and catch up on old times. I have such a great time with my Miller cousins, some of my best memories are about time spent with them. It was so great to see everyone! I was kind of a slacker this Christmas season and I haven't been much into the whole "spirit" of it all this year. Maybe it's because my Grandma wasn't there, maybe it's because my mom fell while delivering goodies to a neighbor and broke her femur (yes you heard me right!) or maybe it's because I hate winter. Who knows, but I didn't take any pictures of any of the fun Christmas festivities we always take part in, although we still took part in all of them, I just didn't care to capture any of them on camera. I will probably regret this down the road, I really don't feel bad about it right now though. Anyways, I did take lots of pictures at the funeral and when I was going through them, I found myself smiling! So I'm making this a post about my "Miller" side of the family. I know that this might not mean a lot to many of my blog followers but it's means the world to me and I know that when I look back on this post years from now, I will be so happy that I captured this day and memory with lots of photos!

The boys looked so handsome at the cemetery.

Ry, myself and my cousins: Jared, Liz, Natalie and Dwight.

Steph, her hubby Ty and their little girl, Chloe.

Nat, Jeff and I

Uncle Jim, Aunt Shannon, cousin Micheal, Mom and me.

Mom and I.

Dad and I.

One of the many quilts that my Grandma has made. ( we have one similar to this that she made Ry and I for our wedding, I absolutely love it!)

Here is a shot of her old softball shoes and the old style softball. (I wonder where Skyler got all of her skills??? No Brainer!!!)
A picture that I took of my Dad and Grandma about 1.5 years ago. Priceless!

And last, but certainly not least, a shot of my Grandma and me, this honestly has to be one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken. Love you Grandma!
