Love Love Love Jimmer Fredette!!!

Okay, really?!!! I can't believe that I was able to meet Jimmer Fredette last night, He's only one of the best Point guards to ever play BYU basketball!!! By now I think you all know how much I LOVE sports, Especially BYU sports. I think last night ranks up there with one of the top 5 highlights of my life thus far, not only do I think that he is an amazing player but I also think he is a little hottie!!!
Summary of last night:
West Jordan High School had their annual end of the year celebration to honor their Varsity Basketball team....This also entailed an silent/live auction and a raffle to raise money for WJH sports programs (which was a lot of fun in and of itself.) We bought a ticket to support our longtime neighbor Jared Hansen, who plays on the team. Somehow, Coach Briggs had a few connections and was able to get Jimmer Fredette to come and do a motivational speech for the players and their friends and family members. I'm Sooo happy that the Hansen's thought of the Miller family!!! Jimmer's speech was amazing---VERY inspirational!!! He quietly excused himself after he spoke and started to head out of the front doors, I was standing over by the doors when he was leaving and snapped a shot of just him, he then motioned for me to come over to him and he had a lady that was with him take the picture below---Wow, a shot of my boyfriend and I together...LOL!!! He also gave me his autograph and his phone number (kidding about the phone number!) All in all this was a night to remember! Now we just need the Utah Jazz to pick him up while he is a free-agent, wouldn't that just be icing on the cake!!!

Grandma Miller

It's hard to believe that my Grandma Miller is 95! Despite a few health issues (especially as of late) She still manages to to get around pretty well. Although she does require a lot more help these days, she is still living on her own. I was out to Herriman a few days ago with my Dad for a visit, and I really enjoyed the time we spent together, she is an amazing woman and her stories are truly one of a kind....I love you Grandma!!!

A little of this and a little of that.

This weekend was the Annual Salt Lake City Marathon. As always, Yuen participated and joining him this year was Jason and Bennett. Lil Heath, My Mom, Skyler, Joe, Cole and myself took off early this morning to catch them all at a couple of their checkpoints. We wanted to cheer them on and to get some good pictures of them all in action. Ryan was doing security/traffic control during the race so we made a stop by his post for a quick visit as well.

All of our racers seemed to be in good condition at the first checkpoint so Heath and I took off to to beat the boys to the second checkpoint. After waiting about 30 minutes we saw Bennett running toward us, We snapped come pictures of him running and then asked him how far J was behind him, he told us that about 5 miles back J had re injured his hip muscle (at least that's what I think it was.) To make an extremely long story short, we had to pick him up in the car 3 miles back from where we were. I know that he was disappointed, but hey, 18 miles isn't bad right??? Yuen ended up finishing in 5:10 and Bennett finished in 4:25, I'm so proud of all three of them, great job guys. The weather was absolutely beautiful today and it felt so great to be out and about soaking in all of the warm rays!!!

In other Lim family news: Ryan no longer works for the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office. They are now known as the Unified Police Department (UPD) which for us just means that his paycheck comes from a different place and his uniforms are now navy blue instead of the old Khaki and Green ones with the Sheriff's star on the sleeve. He will eventually get a new car with the new UPD logo on it....It's all a big phasing out process. I personally think that he looks a lot more handsome in the new uni!!!

Last weekend was our big spring cleaning day. We deep cleaned every inch of our house, including our cats, they all got their bi-yearly baths. I mean hey, they don't have to do chores, pay for their food and they get to just sleep all day long if they want to, all they are required to do is take a bath two times a year....Big Deal!!! They are all actually getting pretty used to the idea, and don't really put up much of a fight anymore. I had yet to get a picture of Keagan post bath in a towel and I finally got one of him...Enjoy below.

Other than that, nothing new is really going on.....I love this weather we've had the last couple of days, bring on the ball games, BBQ's and yes, even the yard work, I love SUMMER!!!

Me walking with Yuen towards the very end of the race, the poor dude was hurtin.

Here I am, patiently waiting for our runners to come around the last corner of the race.

Bennett towards the end, he actually looked pretty good still.

Heath and I at checkpoint #2, at this point we didn't know that J was injured.
