Castle Creek Inn, Wendover and Our Chinese New Year Celebration!!!

So I planned on taking more pictures of Ryan and I at the Castle creek Inn, but this is pretty much the only one we took. We had a great time. When we arrived, there was sparking cider chilling for us by the bed and candles all over the room (how romantic) We just ate dinner, snuggled while we watched movies in bed and enjoyed the jacuzzi that had a waterfall running into it, it was way cool. Breakfast was awesome the next morning, On the menu: Raspberry muffins, fruit, french toast, cheesy potatoes and bacon.....YUM, YUM, YUM.
We had a fabulous time!!!
Last Friday was girls night out with the Lim ladies and my friend Shauna. Jolynn, Brenda, Debbie and Julie stayed at the Montego Bay and Shauna and I were across the way at the Nugget. We laughed, ate, gambled and had a fun time together!!!
Yesterday was Chinese New Year, so we celebrated with the Lim family (being that a few of them have a little Chinese in them) at Tepanyaki's. The food was delicious and the kids absolutely loved watching the "Chefs Show" he put on while preparing our food. A good time was had by all. Here's to the year of "The Golden Ox"!!!
So here is the One and only shot we took of our weekend getaway to the Castle creek Inn.
The whole group at Tepanyaki celebrating Chinese New Year.
The year of the "Golden OX"

Our chef....He was great!!!

Good ole Brenton, He pretty much ate nothing (as usual) and demanded
that he sat next to Ryan (as usual)

Alivia was the funniest to watch, the big flames scared her and she would try to blow them out.
She laughed her head off when the chef was throwing shrimp in the air for us to catch in our mouths, Ry would want me to mention that he was 3 for 3, catching those dang shrimp!!!

Shauna and I in our room at Wendover. Don't we look like we are ready to paint this town "CRAZY"

Poker Night at the Miller's

Saturday night we met up at Neil and Heath's house to play a friendly game of poker. In attendance was: Jim, Jerod, Lisa, Neil, Heath, Ry, myself and all of the little kidos. We laughed, ate, danced and of course "lost" a little money playin some cards. It was nice to just have a laid back night, chillin with some good friends. I feel like I've been sick forever, so I guess in a way, this was my coming out party (I've been stowed away, bed-ridden in my house, what seems like forever) it was nice to feel like part of the human race again!!!
Tomorrow, Ry and I are heading to the Castle Creek Inn to spend a romantic night "just the two of us" I'm sooo looking forward to it. I will post some pictures of our cute room and the cool waterfall that we are going to have in our jetted tub within the next couple of days.

Ringing in 2009

OUr New Year's Eve was pretty chill. Ry and I went over tO the Neil Miller Household and spend the remainder of 2008 with them. We ate taco's, and Heath's sIgnature guacamole dip. wE played Yahtzee, Catch phrase, and a new game called; In a Pickle. Right before midnight a few of Heath's siblingS and their spouses showed up, so there was a bigger group that rang in the new year. After the banging of pans and a few illegal fireworks, we settled in to play some poker, We ended up getting home a little after 3:30.
hERE'S TO 2009!!!

Christmas at the Lim household

I can't believe that Christmas has come and gone. Time sure does fly when you're busy and havin fun!!! Ry and I hosted the Lim family at our house for Christmas Eve this year. We had shrimp, clam chowder, Caesar salad and a gingerbread cake that Brenda made. We opened tons of presents and then headed over to my parents to say hi real quick before we hit the rack. Christmas morning we had a huge breakfast feast aT MY pArents hOUse!!! Seriously, my parents made everything you could think of, it was YuMMy!!!
That afternoon we had a party at Jolynn's house. We ate ham, homemade rolls, stuffed mushrooms (basically, another huge feast.) Gracee came home with Ry and I after the party to spend the night...But wait!!! While I was getting Gracee bathed and ready for bed I received a call from my Mom, telling me that my Dad had fallen off the ladder earlier that evening and that they were at the emergency room. He ended up dislocating two of his fingers and shattering his wrist!!! Craziness!!! I swear, that guy just had to start taking down all of his Christmas decorations on Christmas day, during the worst snow storm we've had this year so far. He has a cast on now and is hoping that he'll get it off in about 4 weeks.
Anyways, besides that little mis-hap, Christmas at the Lim household was as amazing as ever. The Christmas spirit always reminds me how truly blessed I am. I have an amazing husband, an extremely supportive family and thoughtful friends, whom I love with all of my heart!!!
Gracee and Alivia in their Christmas PJ's, aren't they cute???
